Not quite! Your ticket covers the tour itself — not the tab. While we’d love to buy everyone a round, that would take some truly otherworldly drink specials!
Most of our partner bars do offer exclusive discounts or themed cocktails for our guests, but availability varies by night.

All of our bar stops are 21+, and we can’t make exceptions, even if you’re “just tagging along” or not drinking.
And yes — that includes little ones. Infants and guests under 21 aren’t permitted on public tours. We promise it’s nothing personal — just the rules of the spirits (and the state).
Our Spirits on the Loose tours are strictly 21+. Some of our partner bars check IDs at the door, so please bring a valid photo ID — it’s the only way to join the fun.
If you forget your ID, you may not be allowed inside, and unfortunately, we can’t offer refunds. (If you’re truly over 21, you already know the drill — grown-ups remember their IDs!)
U.S. law requires alid ID to serve alcohol, no matter your age — so please don’t make our bartenders haunt the rulebook!
Please try and arrive 15 mins prior to your tour time. This will allow the guide to check you in and start on time.
Once you book, you’ll get a confirmation email right away. Scroll below your receipt to find all the details about where to meet your guide for check-in.
If you don’t see the email, be sure to check your spam or promotions folder — our messages tend to wander there like lost spirits.
We always recommend checking with your doctor to see if you are fit for a walking tour. It usually covers about 1.5 mile, but the routes change with the season. We also make 3-4 stops during this time, which may or may not have seating. Some tours visit bars in historic buildings that may not have an elevator. Most of our tours are not recommended for those with mobility restrictions. More detailed information about the difficulty levels can be found in each city’s tour description.
Yes! We tour in all weather, so please dress accordingly. Azalea Shadows will reach out if your tour is not going to run due to inclement weather, so if you don’t hear from us, plan to be there! If you would prefer to reschedule, we must have at least two hours notice.
You can, but it is not recommended. We will only accept you if the tour is not already full. Also note that on occasion we will contact all guests who purchased tickets to meet at a different location based on special events in the area.
We keep all of our groups small to guarantee a personal experience for every guest.

We love furry friends, but sadly, they’ll have to sit this one out. 🐾
Some guests may not be comfortable around animals, and our partner bars only allow certified service animals.
If you’ll be bringing a certified service animal, please contact us in advance — we’ll be happy to make arrangements to ensure everyone’s comfortable.
It can be — but only if you’re afraid of the dark!
Think of our tours as somewhere between a curious Labrador puppy and that moment you can’t find your phone. Most of our spirits are friendly… just a little mischievous.
No worries! Just call or text us at 843-980-7266 and let us know when you expect to arrive. We’ll do our best to help you catch up with the group.
That said, once the tour leaves the first stop, it can be tricky to find us, so please try to arrive on time.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer refunds or reschedules for late arrivals.
Yes, and it’s always appreciated!
Tips are never expected, but if you had a great time, our guides are happy to accept them. If you don’t have cash, most guides can take electronic payments, or we can add a tip to your booking afterward.
You can receive a full refund if you cancel at least 36 hours before your tour. You can also reschedule for another date (based on availability and price difference) — no change fees, no hassle.
Tours may occasionally be canceled if there aren’t enough bookings or if the weather turns spooky in the wrong way. In those cases, Azalea Shadows will contact you at least 2.5 hours in advance to offer a refund or help you reschedule.
Please note: no-shows and last-minute cancellations are charged the full price and can’t be rescheduled.
